Michael Modrich is a visionary narrative cinematographer with a passion for visual storytelling. His focus is on conveying emotion through the camera lens to create a deep visceral experience. He honed his skills at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studied Cinematography.

Michael went on to receive mastery certification from the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Master Class in Cinematography, cultivating advanced techniques in visual storytelling and cinematic lighting. Under the guidance of acclaimed cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw, ASC, and numerous Academy Award-winning cinematographers such as Wally Pfister, ASC, Claudio Miranda, ASC, Linus Sandgren, ASC, and James Friend, ASC, he deepened his mastery of visual storytelling, embracing cutting-edge cinematic techniques to create evocative and immersive narratives.

Michael was awarded the ASC Vision Mentorship Program and is currently under the mentorship of the legendary Cinematographer Mark Irwin, ASC/CSC, and Academy Award-winner Robert Elswit, ASC.
